Speaker 1:

Hello everybody. Jeff Mason, your host, A Simple Biz 360 podcast. Simple biz three sixty.com is our home on the worldwide web. YouTube, I, gtv Gab, TV 28 Audio Platform, Stitcher, Spotify, iHeart, apple, Pandora, you name it, we are on it. And our book is now on Audible and on iTunes and Amazon in audiobook format to join with the Kindle experience and the, uh, paperback as well. So we're so excited you're here today and we're gonna talk about hands down the best, top of the top best in practice memory trigger I've ever been, uh, fortunate to learn, and it's called CPA Courtesy Purpose Action, 1985 in a sales meeting, my job was to write letters, uh, and make sales calls on senior executives in the Wall Street area. I was, uh, had a lot of built up anxiety about how to write a good bus business letter. I didn't have much confidence in it. And the sales manager that night, Steve Ario says, Hey, just open up with a statement of courteousness. Um, be authentic and genuine if you can. Then in the next paragraph, get to the purpose of your correspondence. And then the last paragraph, uh, just really put in there a clear call to action. And that's it, it's done. You're over it. The apprehension is gone, the anxiety is gone. And folks, it was, and that c p a memory trigger acronym has been with me to this day. I use it constantly. In fact, we encourage you to even consider it when you speak because sometimes we get caught in a business situation. Uh, we, we might get blindsided by a question or two more people come in the room and we didn't expect them. And all of a sudden we're getting peppered with all these questions and, and we can all of a sudden kind of clam up and go, oh gosh, this is getting heavy real quick. Uh, what do I do? And you know what? You can draw on this memory trigger and just comfort yourself in knowing, okay, this is, this is tricky waters here, but let me just overlay these tricky waters with courtesy, purpose and action when I respond to these people. And I'll be okay and you will be okay. It's amazing how this pays dividends. So just, you know, when you speak, when you write, think about courtesy, purpose, action, train yourself on how to do it. It's just three simple, um, components to that speaking, um, or that writing that you're doing. And it, it'll just help you immensely. So we're gonna leave you with that today. I hope it helps you in 2023 and beyond. We're gonna leave you with the Moody Blues, 1973 from seventh Sojourn. I'm just a singer in a rock and roll band. We will see you in 168 hours.
