All right Mr. SimpleBiz guy, let's start the show.

Speaker 1:

Hey guys. Jeff Mason, your host at simple biz 360 podcast. Thank you for tuning in today, we are gonna do three wholesale packaging pivot tips under three minutes. So why are we doing this today? It's because the retail community and the eCommerce community is having a very, very difficult time getting employees. Employee counts are down all over. Forget about retention. It's just hard to get employees. So they're running thinly staffed. So we have an opportunity as wholesalers to be a part of a solution here. So here's the first tip we're gonna talk about, and that is making silent seller packaging. What do I mean by that? We have an opportunity now to revamp our packaging and design it in a way that it can educate the consumer. Who's picking it up off a peg or a rack or a shelf independent of somebody at that eCommerce venue or that retail venue coming up and assisting the person. So that's the first thing we can do. Second thing is tip number two. We can go to the customers, engage them. What a great opportunity to partner with our customers. Let them be part of this process, ask them what they'd like to see in this. Let them be part of those changes to make it easier...right? Because you'll turn more capital. You'll turn more inventory. And so will they. Third tip is to use packaging that's sturdy. We've seen some packaging over time that doesn't, you know, wear well over time. So make sure your cardboard is thick enough, your mil plastic is thick enough, your corners are reinforced, your tabs that hang on, pegs are reinforced. We've got to make it so that, you know, it can be kind of roughed around at the store level. And then just a couple bonus tips. We're gonna do bonus tip number one, make sure your font and your color selections on the packaging are easy on the eyes. We've got tough ultraviolet lights at retail and you know, we don't want to create color combinations that strain the eyes. How about yellow and black? Like we're using today on the show. What a great opportunity. Right? And then, the last thing we have is just make that product so it can be re shippable by your customer, right? They've got vertical websites, they ship some of this stuff you send them. So make sure your UPC codes, everything, your boxes everything's done in a way where it can be easily re shipped by your customer. Hey, lost in the shuffle track today. Uh, we wanna leave you with rare earth, 1971, out of Detroit...the one world album. I just wanna celebrate. We're celebrating America. We want to do a celebration song, rare earth, 71. And guys, if you wanna improve the results of your business, improve the how you do business. And we will see you from St. Louis,at Half Coast Studios in 168 hours.
